I have traveled many times on AP and not once was I asked about EAD/797. That said, there is no strict rules. Maybe you can keep a copy of the above documents and explain why you lost the originals.

My PERM for EB3 has been approved on July 2008. My I-140 is pending. 485 has not been submitted yet. I don't have EAD card either. For some reason, I have to change job.
My question is, if my current employer will not revoke my current I-140 sponsorship, even I have left company, and in case my current I-140 will be approved, can my priority date be carried over?

The minimum requirements for a particular job may, and often do differ from the minimum requirements for EB-2 classification. FYI...Anybody who has an appointment for a Visa stamping on Oct 1st at the U.S Consulate in Chennai, India, please contact the VFS office (91-44-4231-6767) to find out your new date of appointment (which the Consulate says, will be in the same week), if they have not intimated you by email already.

Yours will be EB1C. You can expect to get GC in 1-2 years.
If i-140 premium processing comes back, then typically within an year. (know of 2 people who got done within 8 months... EB1-India). Right now the I-140 is going to take the longest time..

I don't understand this, we are talking about these backlogs, which are effecting about 300K - 500K skilled immigrants, and we only have about 4000 members yet. We should take this as challenge and go on to drive to speak to people like us to increase the members strength, so we will have significant backing and Senate / House / President will pay attention to what we request.

Friend of mine, asked me the below question, any one can Help?
I got my H1-B visa stamped in the month of Feb 2007 from US consulate in chennai. I have not yet travelled on that visa, so I am wondering whether the same visa is still valid, as someone told me that if you don't travel on a visa for 6 months after stamping, it gets expired.

Dates are valid as of November 30, 2008. Texas is processing July 11, 2007 applications. Looks good. It means CIS finally has time to work on the deluge of applications they received in July 2007, even though the dates are not current yet. The approvals may still be far off, but at least we know that our apps are being worked upon.
They will keep the dates between July 11 to July 30 for a few months. During this period, they have not recieved much applications as most of the companies just kept the papers as USCIS announced that they will not accept the forms and reject. Most of the July fiasco applications must have been filed from August 3. If they are really working, then the dates should move to August 2007 in next month processing time.

I have just gone thru March recording of IV lawyer call and the below caught my attention. Ms Susan mentioned that any company name change after I140 approval has to refile I 140. I am utterly confused as that particular scenario affect me and i would like to know what best course of action i can take at this point.
I filed LC and I 140 with company A
My I 140 got approved
Before i filed my I 485 my company changed its name
I asked my attorney at that time if we need to take any special action
Attorney said they can just add an amendment while applying for I 485 about name change and apply with approved I 140, which is with old company name.
I and my wife work on EAD for past 3 years and i am still employed with same company. I wonder which one of above attorney is correct and what i should do.
Does the fact that my I485 is pending for more than 180 days after approval of my I 140 will come to rescue in case of question about company name change (AC21)

I am in the same situation.. send docs to Dallas lockbox.
Applied for EAD renewal and documents reached on May7th.. checks not cased yet. I think the whole lockbox is creating the delays but one they get to your application it is relatively quick.
Do let me know when your checks are cased.
