I have 2 H1B Transfer questions for clarification.
1. Can H1B Transfer be filed when H1B Extension is pending with the current employer?
Yes, a transfer could be filed while an extension is pending. This is the so-called anchor transfer. However, the transfer would be denied if the extension petition is withdrawn before the transfer is approved.
2. Do i need to have copy of I-140 approval notice for H1B Tranfer? The current employer does not share this document.
The 140 approval notice is not required unless this is a post six year transfer/extension.

about your situation. I think I-140 requires lot of original company documents.
I-485 required only Medicals in Original and EVL original. What is your lawyers saying?

Has anyone been able to call USCIS premium processing toll free number today and talk to an Officer. I have been unable to get to an Officer today but was able to talk before. I am wondering whether there is a limit on how many times you can call(I have called 3 times so far in 10 days) or if you can't call after so many days have passed after your application is approved.
I have been contacting to get my priority date corrected on I-140 approval. Please respond if anyone has information

Now if I want to go back to Company A, do I need to transfer my H1B again?
Company A has not cancelled my H1 and I am in good terms with them.
Even if A didnt cancel H1 the comp A will have to apply for transfer.

Your I - 94 Validity cannot be at a date later than H1-B. You say you got your first H1B visa till Oct 2005, but I - 94 expires in Nov 2005. I donot think it can happen
Third country Nationals can go to Mexico and get thier Visa stamped. The only thing is if your Visa gets refused for some reason, you will have to fly back to home coutry and get it stamped.
Have not heard such cases though.

I just got back to the post to update it. Even I found through another source that https://www.usvisa-mexico.com/ is the new website for booking visa appointments at mexico consulates!
What makes me wonder though is the fact that tijuana us consulate website and nvars website still point to the old website!?

I got my first H1-B approval in 2008. I am originally from Mumbai and I have always got my previous visa stamps from the Mumbai consulate.
I paid my visa fees at an HDFC branch in Mumbai in the hope of getting an interview appointment in Mumbai this month. I am flying to India next week and I still do not see any open dates in Mumbai for the month of December. For some reason the VFS webpage displays open dates only at Chennai and Calcutta.
So the question... is it possible for me to visit the consulate in Chennai to get a visa stamp? Do I have to explain why I chose to come to Chennai instead of applying in Mumbai? Are there any other problems for people who choose a different consular district?
A quick survey on the US Consulate General - Chennai website only mentions to select the *most convenient* consular office. Right now I have at least one perfectly valid reason on why I should be granted an interview in Chennai.

I would go with Method 2 since you are not taking up resources having all six of the contents in memory - even if their visibility is set to false.

I was more inclined towards 2nd option thinking that whether or not I get I94, if in case I have to use it, I can make a trip to India and get the stamping done?

I have a question regarding filling of I485.
My wife got her H1 approved in November 2006 and she got her SSN in december and her company has not put her on a project.
I would like to know will there be any issue if I file her as my dependent on my I485 application.
Her H4 visa on the passport is already expired.
