You bring a fresh perspective to these boards. Actually discussing an issue rather than getting worked up in a tizzy and shouting platitudes. ;)
well that's too kind! I like it here because people seem pretty well informed. Maybe Jobs' pretentious claim that Apple is "the intersection of the Liberal Arts and Technology" (http://www.time.com/time/business/article/0,8599,1976935-4,00.html#ixzz1JLMouV91) isn't too far off the mark.

He should give a big SCREW YOU to Apple and make a WinMo, Win7, Android and Pre apps.
Maybe with enough bad publicity Apple won't be such a dick to developers.

OK enough of the religious rant in this thread please. Now back to Justin info. Thanks.
Justin Long just posted an updated (revised) statement on his web site home Portal page at http://www.justinlong.net
He has removed the "Apple is paying me too much money stuff", condensed his statement about the Mac ads, talks a lot about Bruce Willis and his new Die Hard 4 dilm he is working on, and has cleaned up the formatting a bit (he uses linefeeds now).

Only the under 30 crowd is excited about this.
But hey, it takes a while to develop common sense.
To the "unhip", this looks like yet another way to bore each other to death.
I must say though, for criminals...things are looking up.

Microsoft has not beat Apple as far as a 64bit consumer OS goes. Name one consumer chip that is 64bit. Thank you. Carry on.
Also, I think NT is limited to 4 processors unless they have updated that recently. Clustering is not the same as a multi-processor machine. Unix scales better than NT, just deal with it. Apple could easily make a rack server that had 16 processors, with a kick arse OpenGL card and teach SGI a lesson. They don't have the market for that though...yet!

I am actually afraid of this for Apple!
This is just going to give bad press, and get people to start to compare Apple to the RIAA with regards to lawsuits.
I understand Apple wanting to protect it's name, however they promoted podcasting , and do within many of their products, so trademarking it is just going to crush the little guys that recently started to support and like Apple.
I think this is a bad move, and worries me!

I'm already getting two iPad 2s for me & my wife & I saw this & wanted to get one for my daughter. My wife made a pretty good statement of "Do we need to go from no iPads to three in one house?"
Chalk up another version of "Wife said no."

BTW - using Time Machine with this is a really bad idea!

The best one in my opinion is the iLife one, and even that is stretching it a little. The nickname one is just weird with a stupid point. The virus one is horrible - it's as if they put the US ad through google translation. Very unnatural and irritating.

The worst thing about the picture is the amount of noise it has and the fringing by the flowers. UGH!
I know you're being at least somewhat sarcastic, but I'd like to see you get something better from a hand-held 1/60 sec exposure at F2.0 and the ISO set to 3200.
It is amazing that this is even possible without image stabilization. I mean...ISO 3200!

Good point.
Both of which are essential.
Btw Other proposals/suggestions are also welcome, however many or few posts you have :).
Thank You.
I'm not convinced yours will do this to be honest. Your categories don't seem totally clear to me.
I don't think they can be much clearer. Hardware refers to well, Hardware, Software to um... Software. Hmm, maybe I'm looking at it from the wrong perspective though, why don't you think it's clear?

I have ordered one of those white DIY Kits and it was easy to put on. I have it now for over 4 months in white and i must say am happy with it.
The only issue is the problem with the camera. The quality is not anymore as good as on black iPhone 4. It seems to be too bright because of light entering the iphone besides the camera hole :S
BUT STILL I WOULD BUY ONE AGAIN :) i love the people asking where i got this white iPhone from XD

This is, of course, due to the release of a new version of OS X every 18 months or so compared to the ridiculous periods between Windows versions.
Agreed.

Damn I'm thinner than uncle Steve. I should have died a long time ago:D Better pack my stuff:p
Looks like everybody wants to kill Steve, guess what? In the next keynote instead of macbooks Steve is going to announce:
"Once again I'm still a live."

It may out eye candy OS-X,but it's still Windows. If you put a dress on a pig,it's still a pig ;)..Not to mention the fact that a large % of PC's out there aren't even capable of running it.So if somebody has a choice to make of either getting a new PC to run Vista,or switch to OS-X??Things could get interesting this coming year...

I don't believe the stats. There is no way the Verizon model is more popular than the AT&T model.

I don't believe that either nail it on the head. While they're both a vast improvement, the proposals still need a little work in my view.
While I don't have anything to lay on the table right now, I'll come back and post when I've had thinkies.

After cutting my cable TV 3 months ago I've been using Netflix and haven't looked back! I considered getting Hulu Plus, but didn't see the value in it. I barely even watch Hulu free anymore (all my free episodes are expiring to Plus now). Occasionally I can't find anything "good" to watch, but it's great for watching older TV shows in HD. Been burning through Arrested Development :D
Yuck. I used to have Netflix as I have 4 devices that stream Netflix (WDTV Live, LG Stereo, Samsung TV, TiVo - a little overmarketing, TiVo?)... and I noticed over the last year a huge drop in the decent stuff available to stream, namely anything good from TV... can't even watch seasons of CSI... Fu#$% that.
I cancelled for total lack of anything good streamable.
