I usually get 40$ or max 50$ bill per month. But from last few months i am getting bill around 180$ per month. I live in a similar size apartment as you.. :mad:

All of you who could not apply for your spouses for any reason and now facing retrogression:

Please Keep your spouse's application 100% ready with the exception of medical report before your date is officially current again and file it on the very first day that it is current.

Example:

Your PD = May 2005 EB2

July 2008 bulletin is released on 15th June 2008 making your PD current starting July 1st.

You have about 15 days to prepare your spouse's application and also get his/her medicals done.

Send it out on June 30th to be delivered on early morning July 1st 2008.

This is to make sure the dependent's application reaches there BEFORE any chance of your application getting approved.

If you miss it YOUR app is approved before your spouse's app is filed, you are in for some complications.....

I guess most of you already understand the importance of this, Just mentioning here for the benefit of those who don't..

I agree with the confusion part of your post. How ever, the timing should be good for a name change and I am sure atleast it will have some people say "hey, look these guys are waiting in line". But if 100 out of 100 people here are because of issues being faced by EB issues, I dont see anything wrong in associating ourselves to that cause. In fact, if any one comes to the website and reads for a minute its crystal clear that we are trying to alleviate the situation for EB applicants. In the visa bulletin, I see EB and FB categories. Am I missing some categories in Legal Immigration? (excluding getting enlisted)

GCNirvana007 - Who filed you PERM? Who provided you with approved I-140? Who filed ur GC? ....company A.............right.............so u have to work for company A and yes u r obligated legally from USCIS perspective to work with them. Don't tell me u don't know this. Going thru GC process, one almost becomes an immigration lawyer so you should know this if u don't already.

Recent H1-B company B has nothing to do with GC.

Bottomline - Why did u file GC in EB category? ANSWER - To work for that employer A.

Now u r saying something about company C running ur payroll.

Ok. So whoever runs my payroll is my employer. Lets say its Company C.

Question is

Am I obligated to Company A in any way?
Am I obligated to Company B which had my recent H1B?

Based on the answers i am assuming no but will wait to hear from you guys.

Today there was LUD on my 140 application which was approved 1 year back. What does this mean? I received my EAD and AP is approved.

Sorry to ask this question on this thread, but i think i don't have ability to create new thread?

Can some one help please?

My PD is Feb 2006 and I am EB3 India

This is common, many of us including me received soft LUD on already approved
I-140 applications. check my post#2 on this same thread.

this statement is not true. USCIS does not send I-140 approval to alien as it belongs to employer.
u will get a copy of the approval notice directly from USCIS though.

My case is EB 2 Dec 15th 2003 is priority date. I have filed my I 485 in August 2007. Still my case is pending more than 3 1/2 years. I have tried all possable options. Nothing is wokring out. Just simply telling background check is pending. Can you somebdoy helpme out other than WOM.

Full time genrally means atleast 9 credit hours per semster (could be more).

If you are in the same job for the same employer and are performing your 40 hours , it's better to be on that H1-B or AOS(EAD) status. This might not be possible in every university and or every graduate program but some of them have evening classes mostly. so you just get into your program and take classes but your status is H1-B or EAD (some universities even consider you domestic or instate for tuition purposes if you were working in that state for more tan year prior to begining the program.

AOS in that case is not jeopardised. I am in your exact situation, and this is what I understand. Always consult your attorney before you proceed.

If any greencard holder is convicted say for 5 years, he need to serve the term and will deport to his home country with escort. When discussing premium processing, capitalism etc categories, we should not forget that USCIS is a monopolist. There is no alternative, hense all screw ups, "premiums" etc. Capitalism has nothing to do with USCIS. This organization is a typical crippled socialistic child.

I agree with this one. It is more about no competition and no incentive to do things faster. Premium processing is just what it says it is. Pay up and we will have an incentive to do it faster. Else put up with our delays.

I wish they wud do something like premium processing from the WHOLE Green card process. I am sure people wud be more than willing to pay for that.

why did they come out with this statement ? maybe to tell state dept not to do this in future ? for many it will take 5 years for the visas to be available ..say EB3 - I with PD of 2006 who was lucky enough to file for 485 during the fiasco ..

All,

My Attorney emailed today that in order to potentially benefit from the AILF lawsuit for the July VB fiasco, they will go ahead and file my I-485 next week. Now, I am not sure if this is a good thing to do. Anybody with such a situation? Any experts, please advise.
